Singer, Yemi Alade, has seriously captured the hearts of many since venturing into the highly competitive Nigerian music industry with her hit single, 'Johnny.'

The singer, who continues to wax stronger with various singles and collaborations, recently aired her opinion when asked by popular columnist, Omojuwa, on the perception that some Nigerian music lacked content.

Yemi stated that though it is true that some music lack content but noted that no matter how the song sounds there is a little message it will still pass across and it is only left for the listener to pick the message or ignore.

Airing her opinion on the wide perception, she said, “True. But there is no song without content no matter how little the message. You either get it or you don't. I believe that an artiste can only give what he/she has.”
