The relationship between music producer, Alec Godwin, and his estranged wife, Kefee, the gospel musician, seems to be getting messier by the day.

It was in the news recently that Alec was a wife batterer and pretty Kefee had to leave her matrimonial home to avoid being disfigured.

But sources close to the family said Alec was not a wife beater.

Speaking to Life and Beat recently, the source said, “I can categorically tell you that all through their marriage, Alec never laid his hands on Kefee. She is just being malicious, if at all she said Alec beat her.”

It was also alleged that Kefee threatened to blackmail Alec if he didn't release her from the contact she had with his label.

According to the source, “Kefee was really blackmailing Alec. She told him that if he didn't release her, she would tell the world that Alec was cheating her and she would dent his image.”

Life and Beat tried to get Kefee's side of the story on the telephone but could not get through. When we called Alec, he said, “No comment.”
