Chaos recently broke out in a certain church called United Methodist Church in Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos State when the members allegedly beat their pastor and chased him away from the 'vineyard.'

The offence of the man of God, Pastor Barkuma Andrew was that he allegedly impregnated his housemaid and also forcefully made her go through a painful abortion.

It was gathered that the incident happened over seven months ago and the pastor was subsequently stopped from leading the church.

Prior to the ugly incident, Pastor Andrew had been living his wife, children, wife's cousins in a three-bedroom flat on the church premises, but after he allegedly betrayed the church, they sought the service of another pastor three weeks ago to lead them.

However, trouble escalated yesterday, Sunday, August 30, 2015 when members came to church around 10am for Sunday service only to see that Andrew and some 'unknown' people had commenced the service.

It was gathered that the development resulted in a breach of the peace as Andrew and his group were chased out of the church.

It took the intervention of men from the Makinde Police Division, including the DPO, to calm the situation.
