Nigerian Rising Model, Samuella Elumelu, Boasts; I Can't Fall Into Any Immoral Terms In My Career
While the world see and admire their beautiful faces when they grace the screens and outdoor publications, models are sometimes subject to all sorts of inhumane treatment before the contracts are clinched.
There have been rumours and stories of the models paying up in cash or kind to get the contracts but for Samuella Elumelu, nothing can make her fall a victim in her modeling career.
Speaking with Daily Post, she said she cannot be desperate to allow herself to be used up in the guise of building up her career as she does not have the time to entertain such negotiations.
She said, "Naturally, with modeling, these girls have no choice but to deal with men who sometimes harass them. That is a true fact. But I will say it all depends on much value you place on yourself.
"If you are desperate, you will be treated as such. I don't think anybody can mess you up if you are not desperate. Innocent girls get harassed simply because they put themselves in such situation."
She said there will always be other opportunities to come her way."I can never be harassed because I have never been desperate in my life. Like I said, it isn't a do or die affair. I don't need to listen to your immoral terms to get what I want, there are many ways to it. I can't imagine myself falling into the trap."
