How Students Of OAU Allegedly Harassed, Robbed Adekunle Gold For Low Performance
To be a popular celebrity comes with fame and fortune but they are also prices one has to pay to maintain the status quo.
Adekunle Gold, YBNL artiste, who is gradually rising to fame, has just experienced one of those hazards of being a musician.
Few days ago, some students popularly referred to as 'Awo Boys' of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, allegedly robbed the budding artiste of a an undisclosed amount of money.
The event promoter known as King Wale Applause revealed that the ugly incident happened after Adekunle Gold performed at the school and was preparing to go back to Lagos.
The 'Awo Boys' led by the Director of Socials reportedly stormed the hotel Adekunle Gold was lodged in and demanded for half of the pay he was given for the show.
In order to avert a break down of law and order, Adekunle, paid the money and soon left to Lagos.
Wale who works closely with YBNL artistes went further to explain via twitter that the students harassed Adekunle because he started late and didn't perform their favourite track 'Sade' repeatedly on stage.
