Star Actor, RMD Acquires Guns To Protect Community

Veteran Nollywood actor and current Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD, has decided to fight for his people in the oil-rich region of Niger Delta in Nigeria.

RMD, alongside some militants in the region got some arms to protect Oloibiri community, which is reportedly the place where an oil well was first drilled in Nigeria.

This scenario was played in a film titled 'Gun Powder'.

The movie, which was directed by an American film director, Curtis Graham, and produced by Nigerian filmmaker, Rogers Ofime, sees RMD play the role of a militant who stood against the continuous exploitation of his native Oloibiri community in Bayelsa State by oil companies.

Other stars in the flick are Olu Jacobs, Taiwo Ajai Lycett and many others. The film is expected to hit the cinemas soon.
