Veteran TV presenter, actor and husband to Nollywood actress, Iretiola Doyle, Patrick Doycle, has revealed why he has not been very active in acting compared to when he newly ventured into it some years back.

The versatile presenter explained that he cannot call himself a professional actor because he sees himself as a broadcaster who only ventured into acting.

He stated that it will be a sign of ridicule if he calls himself an actor and insult on the likes of Olu Jacobs who have been the movers and shakers of the profession of acting.

“I am not a professional actor, rather I see myself as a broadcaster who made foray into acting. It would be belittling to a noble profession to call myself an actor. An insult to the professionals in the business; people like Olu Jacobs,” he told Nation newspaper.
