Severally, there have been arguments as to which has a better storyline between the Yoruba and English speaking Nollywood films. While those with the Yoruba link claim Yoruba movies have better storylines, others think otherwise.

Airing his view on this matter, top music producer, Cobhams Asuquo, heaped praises on Yoruba films for their ability to deliver hilarious movies and also pass a message through it in an African viewpoint.

In his words, “Yoruba home videos have remained consistent in delivering hilarious comedy and sharing life's lessons from an African perspective.”

“I just finished watching the most moving Yoruba movie I've seen in years on Africa magic titled Ero Omo Elemoso,” he added.
