Lagos Stands Still For Martin Luther Film, 'Selma'
On Sunday, February 8, 2015, the much talked about premiere of a film depicting the life and struggle of the late black activist, Martin Luther King Jr entitled 'Selma' was held in Lagos.
The event was put together by the Pastor Paul Adefarasin-led House On The Rock Church in Lekki, Lagos.
Some heavyweights in the Nigerian movie industry were present for the programme, which also had the presence of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje.
Prominent names in Nollywood like Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Toke Makinwa, Omoni Oboli, Joseph and others were at the occasion.
The lead character of the flick was played by a British-born Nigerian, David Oyelowo and others also graced the premiere.
