The Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has disclosed that the organisation will mark its five years of existence. COSON has since become one of the most influential organizations in the creative sector in Nigeria.

In May 2015, COSON will roll out drums for the celebration.

In 2010, the Federal Government approved COSON as the nation's sole collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings.

According to COSON General Manager, Chinedu Chukwuji, despite the initial challenges, the organisation has grown to become Nigeria's most powerful organization in the creative sector with a management style and structure that most blue chip organizations envy.

Being confident of the organisation's growth in 2015, Chukwuji, disclosed that the organization have strategized on ways to hit those results that will make its members happy.
