On Monday, December 22, 2014, a remembrance service was held in honour of advertising guru, late Sesan Ogunro (Snr), who was shot dead by some men of the underworld in Lagos in 2013.

The deceased was the Group Managing Director, Eminent Communications and Spot-On Media before he was murdered on the night of Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Alausa Central Business District, Lagos, in the presence of his wife and children.

The late Ogunro was reportedly returning from a special Christmas service programme when he was attacked by the gunmen.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, was present at the remembrance service held yesterday at Protea Hotel in Lagos. The deceased's family members were also present for the service, including his son, Sesan (Jnr), a top music director, and Fade, a top radio presenter in Lagos.
