Yinka Ayefele Bereaved As Late Father Wanted Him To Be A Banker
He has been in the entertainment industry as a voice over artiste but he became a household name after he was involved in an auto crash in 1999, which damaged his spinal cord, and which facilitated his entry into full time music. Since the release of his debut album, Sweet Experience, Yinka Ayefele's profile in the music industry has been on the rise.
Gospel artiste, Yinka Ayefele, will forever miss his father who has contributed to his growth right from child birth down to when he had his accident all to keep him alive as a father ought to do. But the loving father has slipped into the cold hands of visiting death as it came knocking at the door of Chief Joshua Taiwo Ayefele.
Although, the singer did not state the cause of his father's death, but stated that he was going to miss his father whom he describes as 'BABA TEACHER.'
Nollywoodgists.com confirmed that Chief Joshua Ayefele, popularly known as Tungba maestro, died yesterday October 12, 2014 in his home town, during the celebration of his 76th birthday party.
Yinka, recalling his time with his father, explained that his dad who was an educationist and community leader in Ipoti Ekiti until his demise, forced him to go to school and wanted him to be a banker but he decided to study political science.
According to Yinka, he was with his father at their home town Ipoti Ekiti to celebrate with him, while he latter saw him off when he was leaving but was surprised to hear few minutes after about his demise.
The gospel singer, is the first child of his parent and hailed from Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He had his primary and secondary education at Our Saviours Anglican Primary School, Ipoti-Ekiti, Nigeria. After his elementary education, he proceeded to Ipoti Community Secondary School and later to Ondo State College of Arts and Science, (OSCAS) Ikare Akoko, Nigeria.
