How Eight People Died On Sallah Day Road Mishap

It was a black Sallah day as Eight persons lost their lives yesterday in a fatal accident that involved a Toyota Sienna Car with Reg No Anambra ABN 214 and a truck marked Lagos LND 426 XC on Akure-Owo Road.

The damaged Sienna car was said to be heading towards Abuja, while the truck was heading towards Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The two vehicles were said to have engaged in head on collision.

Those who were around and witnessed the tragic accident revealed the whole eight occupants of the Sienna died on the spot.

When contacted, the Ondo state Police Public Relations Officer (ASP) Wole Ogodo, who confirmed the tragic incident, said the accident happened at about 3.30am.

He blamed the unfortunate accident on dangerous overtaking.

The PPRO warned drivers to be more careful since life has no duplicate.
