For allegedly attacking and killing a peace maker, 25-year old man, Allison Wemimo- Samson has been remanded in prison custody by a Lagos Chief Magistrate's Court sitting at Ebute-Metta.

The Judge presiding over the case, Magistrate E. B. Daodu ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP.

The deceased peacemaker, Johnson Okoye, 34, was said to have died after he had settled the dispute between the defendant and his landlord, Musa Mohammed.
Samson is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder preferred against him by the police.

The defendant had lived at 17, Abibat Jumoke Street, Jakande Estate, Ajah, and a former tenant to Musa Muhammed before he vacated a room apartment he rented from the landlord sometime in September 2011, and promised to come back for part of his money since his tenancy did not expire at the time he left.

The prosecutor, Corporal Cyracuis Osuji, told the court that the defendant had gone to meet his former landlord on September 30 to demand for his balance.

He added that in the course of asking for the money, a fight ensued between them. That was when the deceased intervened.

He said after making peace, the deceased was attacked by the defendant and his brother, now at large.

The prosecutor further stated that the peacemaker slumped and died after he had reported his attack at a nearby Police Station.

The defendant's plea has not taken as the case was adjourned to another day.
