D'Banj visits Oba of Lagos
THE Koko Master, Dapo Adebanji popularly known as D'Banj has paid a courtesy call to the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu in consolidation of his quest to bring reprieve to up coming artistes and youths in the country.
D'Banj, who made an entrance into the palace in the company of the Mo Hits squad, stated that with the launch of his recent album, The Entertainer, he has graduated from being a musician to an entertainer. He also used the opportunity to inform the King that he was his reason for paying a visit to the palace was for him to get his blessings as he aims to become a culture and tradition ambassador.
The royal father while responding commended D'Banj who launched his KoKo Foundation last week, advised him to use his songs to x-ray the ills in the society as that would help in reconstructing the country against corruption.
True to his new image as an all round entertainer, D'Banj pulled a scene when he was leaving the palace by spraying money to his many fans that gathered to catch a glimpse of the hip- hop star.
