2014 Miss FCT Abuja Sweeps For Ebola Virus

Winner of the 2014 edition of Miss FCT, Abuja, Bertha Eke has joined the league of Nigerian celebrities raising awareness for the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Nigeria. Recently, some stars have taken different initiatives to educate the masses on how to prevent the disease from spreading further.

On the part of Eke, she embarked on an ebola awareness and sensitization campaign tagged 'Empowered to Fight', which she did by sweeping some rural communities in the Nigeria's capital city.

During the campaign, Eke educated the people on the deadly virus, its origin, causes, symptoms and prevention with few demonstrations. Those in the community she visited welcomed her and paid attention to her.

She also shared some sanitation items like buckets, rakes, brooms, packers, and refuse sacks, soaps, hand sanitizers and others. She encouraged them to their keep their environment very clean and observe very good personal hygiene.
