On Tuesday, July 8, 2014, the Lagos screening of Miss Global Nigeria contestants was held at Ember Creek, in Ikoyi.

This comes after similar screenings took place in Port Harcourt and Abuja some days before. At the end of the day, 18 girls were picked and to be camped for one week with other lucky girls from the two other auditions.

The girls stormed the event as early as 10am and later faced the panel of judges comprising Doris Simeon, Ebube Nwagbo, Dare Ekunno of Dance Etal, Michelle Ijeh (the winner of the Miss Global 2013), Tese Onokala of Needlekraft Couture and Antai Victoria (the first runner up of Miss Global 2013).

The grand finale holds on July 20, 2014 at Havillah Events Centre, Lagos

The judges unanimously told Nollywoodgists.com that this year's contest is promises to be explosive.
