Two weekends ago, the younger sister of Nollywood star, Funke Akindele, Abimbola, got married to her sweetheart, Adewale, who we learnt hails from Ondo State.

The ceremony precisely took place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at The Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos and it was attended by the sultry actress, Funke, otherwise known as 'Jenifa', a character she played in her blockbusting film titled 'Jenifa'.

Several family members and friends of the new couple also graced the occasion, which we gathered was an elaborate one.

Speaking with E-247 Magazine on the marriage, Funke Akindele expressed her heartfelt joy for the lovers and prayed that God should make them best of friends. She also prayed that their union last.

In her words, “I am happy for both of them, and I wish them a very peaceful and love-filled marriage. In addition, may God make them the best of Friends to each other.”
