Nolywood Actor, Adebayo Faleti Debunks Illness Report

Renowned writer and actor, Adebayo Faleti has expressed his disappointment in a purported report by a society magazine that he was dying and that The Movie Ambassadors (TMA) had paid his bill in the hospital.

This allegations emanated from a Newly floated movie making group, The Movie Ambassador (TMA), who went to pay the actor a courtesy visit in his Ojoo residence, Ibadan, and also has part of its decision to regularly pay courtesy visits to veteran actors who have contributed immensely to the success of the motion picture in the country, the group decided to donate a sum of thirty thousand naira to the renowned poet.

According to Saidi Balogun, who is the President of the group, while reacting to the report, said the donation, was simply a way of extending gratitude to Faleti whom he believes deserves more than what he's getting from the society he had sown a lot into over the years.

The story was said to have infuriated Faleti, prompting him to grant an interview in a national newspaper, declaring that “If it is true The Movie Ambassadors paid my hospital bill as this paper reported, how much did they pay? To which hospital did they pay it? Was I met in the hospital? Or is my house, my bedroom, the hospital,” he asked.
