Nigeria's veteran musician, Bongus Ikwue has been appointed as the chairman of the board of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC). His appointment was approved by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ).

He has joined entertainers who have got political appointments.

Bongus is one of Nigeria's music talents who has contributed immensely to the growth of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

NFC helps to promote the motion pictures industry in Nigeria and give grants also.
