In a bid to encourage continuity in office, the Special Assistant to the Imo State government on Lagos Liaison, Hon. Lisa Asugha has called on the Imo people to hearten their support on her successor, the Special Assistant on Public Affairs and Nollywood actress, Nkiru Syvalnus so to foster the developmental plans of the present administration.

Asugha who was the Special Assistant on Public Affairs before the swap of portfolio with the Nollywood actress made this known in one of the State's functions while briefing newsmen.

According to her, the level of encouragement her successor will receive while serving the people of the State will spur her to do more. Asugha furthered that her office requires a continual communication with the people, adding that it is only when the people lay complaints or feedbacks on how government policy is affecting them that she will act upon.

“Imo people are the best when it comes to corporation. As long as you are willing to work, they will support you. And right now, I am stepping into another office, I urge them never to relent, because they are the true definition of democracy; and that's why the government can't function well without them. I urge them to support my successor, because if her office is affected it also affects the government in a whole,” she urged.

Furthermore, she assured that with the qualities saddled on Nkiru Sylvanus that she will excel, continuing that for her to be a star it means public acceptance, which she admitted that it takes one's tenacity, resilience and hardwork to be a public figure.

Meanwhile, Hon. Lisa Asugha has already commenced work in Lagos, as she has paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola. On her master plan and blue print for the Imo laision office, she disclosed of unveiling it in due time.
