Reuben Abati Debunks Resignation Rumour, Says It Is Blackmail
Just some hours ago, news broke and filtered the internet that presidential spokesperson, Dr Reuben Abati, has finally resigned from office.
According to earlier reports, the former Guardian Newspaper editorial board chairman was reported to have left office owing to the recent spate of protests accross the country over the removal of fuel subsidy by his boss, President Jonathan, on January 1, 2012.
According to an online portal report, Reuben has debunked his resignation rumour when a call was put through to him, saying it is just a blackmail.
The recent removal of fuel subsidy has caused a heat in the country with widespread protests. Resignation of key officers in polity has been called for over the fuel subsidy removal.
Reuben Abati is a human right activist known for his attack on past governments with anti-masses' policies on his column in Guardian Newspaper.
