Nigerian Film and Videos Censors Board Charges Nollywood On Children Movies
The Director General (DG) of the Nigerian Film and Videos Censors Board (NFVCB), Patricia Bala, has called on Nollywood film makers to concentrate more on making films appropriate for Nigerian Kids.
According to Bala, movie makers should try to explore themes revolving around children with a view to creating quality entertainment for the leaders of tomorrow.
'My advice is that they should produce more movies for children. They are not tapping into that market and it has very great potentials. That's a big market that's not exploited; I'm challenging our film makers to look into that.'
Bala also revealed that along this line, the Board and Film Corporation were working together on a project designed to encourage producers to tow the line.
