The highly publicized hip-hop awards nite tagged Headies Award held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos have come and gone but the memories will still forever linger on in our hearts.

The event lived up to its billing with the attendance of A-List artistes from all over Africa.

The show was hosted by Nollywood actress Rita Dominic and singer eLDee.

Without mincing words,Rita , alongside her co-host singer Lanre Dabiri better known as Eldee made a complete mess of their performance as hosts at the award show.

The two, nervously delivered their lines and at some point seemed they were woken up from a deep sleep and whisked to the event as they appeared dumber and dumber each time they appeared on stage - all that was seen as impressive about them was Rita's make up and their outfits.

Rita was largely inaudible, and her carriage lacked confidence.

Many also berated Eldee for lighting a cigar and puffing it at quick intervals on stage at the time a sensitive documentary such as incessant 'rape' of teenage girls and women in general was rolling on the projector.

We gathered that the award organizers were displeased and embarrassed at their performance.

Other industry big guns at the event also noted that Eldee and Rita performance was the worse in the history of the awards.
