If information at our disposal is anything to go by, the large heart of Akwa-Ibom State governor, Dr. Godswill Akpabio may have triggered off disaffection among some Nigerian artistes.

Sources in the know revealed to us that during the electioneering, some artistes who rendered their professional services for Governor Akpabio were engaged in misunderstanding over money paid them for their services. The story made available to us by those in the know revealed that the likes of Pastor Goody Goody and some other artistes who toured Local Governments in Akwa-Ibom State in campaign for Governor Akpabio's second term ambition were engaged in argument over the amount each artiste is entitled to get. The protest was said to have come against the backdrop of the fact that some artistes collected more than the others. And this ultimately sparked off controversy among them. Top Nollywood comic actor, Chinedu Ikedieze aka Aki who was recently awarded national honour was said to be among the artistes. Some of the artistes were said to have got as much as N400,000, while some got below that. The deal was said to have been spearheaded by Lewis Amstrong. We later learnt that the issue was resolved amicably. Meanwhile, Aki was present at the inauguration ceremony of Gov. Akpabio. He was sighted taking photo shot with some people at the Governor's Lounge.
