The mas-ked musician, Lagbaja has announced that Ego Ogbaru, the lady who has been an integral part of his band but left to start a solo career, will regularly get invitations to perform in his club, Motherlan'.

It was an emotional Ego that took to the stage to bid her fans farewell by rendering some of the songs that have made her a respected voice during the Lagbaja Christmas Special concert at the Motherlan' in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos. The show was sponsored by the pan African mobile operator, Celtel Nigeria Limited.

According to Lagbaja, Ego, who got a standing ovation fom the crowd, is leaving the band to pursue a solo career but would still be welcomed to perform in Motherlan' anytime she feels like doing so.

"It is true that Ego is leaving the band to pursue a solo career. But she is still a part of us. She will regularly be invited to perform here because she has been a wonderful lady. I will miss her," Lagbaja said.
