Desmond Elliot is far from ranting. He has justification for this somewhat radical opinion. Elliot simply says : "If it has become impossible to regulate and control the activities of Video Clubs, then scrap them". Who has a problem with this line of thinking?

We must thank God for using someone as his mouth piece, he has spoken the mind of all which is the voice of God. Emeka Mba is the reason of all these problems, the industry is now at it dead end since he took mantle of the seat as MD of the NFVCB. I beleived he has stayed his time. What would one say about a Man called Emaka Mba whom for reasons best known to him and himself alone pushed the cost being a member of film maketers to an unbearable height just to drive away the higher percentage of the activity driving marketers that was poised promoting/pushing the industry to an acceptable national and international level {Monopoly of Marketers}. What would one say stands the gain or the rational behind a policy trust and action of Mba whom then came down to then empowered the video renters whom merely lay hands on one or two videos cd and then use it to serve millions populace in a given area. If Nigerian 150 million population now patronises less than a thousand video renters whom hardly buy more than two videos, gets it duplicated and ramdomly uses it to be making huge money under what Mba empowered/crown video rentage policy. I speak because I am involved and I know that I have spoken the mind of most movies producers that has been affected by his bad policy. who now fight the course of a common man, who would now fight the hydral headed moster called vedio piracy?
Its obvious that the movie industry in Nigeria is drastically dieing as a result this action, which thus drove away most of our compectitive vibrant movie marketers out of sight into other un-related trades and business such as electronics and local buying and selling businesses at ladipo.

well I believe that you have spoken well by using that remark, the clubs should be scrapped in every aspect and the actor guard association need to enforce this...... Nigerian 150 million population now patronises less than a thousand video renters whom hardly buy more than two videos, gets it duplicated and ramdomly uses it to be making huge money under what Mba empowered/crown video rentage policy.
