Star Mega Jam: Akon, LL Cool J Storm Nigeria: ...P-Square, Dbanj, Weird MC, Others On The Bill
Senegalese singer, songwriter and music producer, Akon, is set to return to Nigeria for the second time. The singer, whose song is currently on top of US charts, will be joined by hip-hop music star, James Todd Smith a.k.a. LL Cool J (Ladies Love Cool James), for the 2006 edition of Star Mega Jam.
Entertainment Cafe learnt that these foreign music stars will be playing in Lagos and Benin, with 13 top Nigerian music stars, including P-Square, D'banj, Weird MC, Ruggedman and Mode 9. Others are Star Quest winners, KC Presh, D'Accord, African Chyna, Muma Gee, Tony Tetuila, Daddy Showkey, Tony One Week and Abass Akande Obesere. The corporate communications adviser to the Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Chuma Igwe, promised that this year's edition of Star Mega Jam will be unique in terms of entertainment and security.
Entertainment Cafe recalls that in 2002, Awilo Longomba performed while Shaggy was on the band stand in 2001. It was the turn of Usher Raymond in 2004 while 50 Cent performed last year.
