Actor John Dumelo, described as “the ladies man” has re-affirmed his love for the ladies who form the chunk of his fan base. In an exclusive interview with peacefmonline.com he said the ladies are those who buy and watch their movies.

John who is admired by thousands of ladies in Ghana, Nigeria and the world over, said he does not blame them for admiring God's creativity.

Asked how he is able to deal with the pressure from ladies as an actor, John said:

"I love the ladies; they inspire me. I have fun with them and fool around with them in public but I have my limits," John said, adding that "after what goes on, on-set, at premieres and other public events, it ends there and nothing goes beyond that."

The actor, born to Mr. and Mrs. Dumelo, grew up with his two senior sisters, Caroline and Annette. According to him, his sisters taught him a lot of things in life, especially how to treat ladies. John, who always plays "lover boy" roles in movies, said he is still single and waiting for the right time and the right woman.

John began acting at the tender age of seven, in a cameo appearance in the Ghanaian movie “Baby Thief”, directed by the late Seth Ashong. He started his Basic education at Christ the King School in Accra, then continued at Achimota School also in Accra, before gaining admission at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi where he studied Civil Engineering, and graduated in 2007 as a Civil Engineer.

He is into Real Estates and Construction as an Engineer.

After completion of his schooling, he resurfaced again into acting in a TV series titled: “About to Wed”, but his real big breakthrough came when he featured in Shirley Frimpong Manso's movie “The Perfect Picture”, and “The King is Mine” by Venus Films.

He has since found his bearing in the movie industry, acting in several Ghanaian and Nigerian movies including: “Heart of Men”, “The Prince Bride”, “The Queen's Pride”, “Chelsea” and “4Play” among others.

John Dumelo is gradually becoming a household name. He loves cooking and reading but he can only cook Jollof rice, which also happens to be his favourite meal. His ideal woman is a God fearing lady, a down-to-earth person and someone who has a great sense of humor.
