Burna Boy Makes History As First African Artiste To Top Billboard Global 200
Nigerian Afrobeats star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first African artiste to top the Billboard Global 200 Songs chart.
The self-acclaimed African Giant reached the summit with his World Cup collaboration with Shakira, titled 'Dai Dai,' which claimed the number one spot this week.
The record-breaking single also secured the top position on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. chart. Additionally, it climbed 12 spots to a new peak of 55 on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart.
This latest achievement adds to Burna Boy's growing list of global records, including his recent feat as the African artiste with the highest monthly listeners on Spotify, where he currently boasts 47.3 million monthly listeners.
