"At This Point, The Entire Country Needs Security" – Singer Nasboi Reacts To President Tinubu's Directive To Recruit 1000 Forest Guards In Oyo State
Nigerian singer and content creator Lawal Michael Nasiru, popularly known as Nasboi, has tackled President Tinubu over his latest directive ordering the recruitment of a thousand forest guards to tackle insecurity in Oyo State.
The President made the announcement via his official handles on Monday, June 1st, days since some teachers, students and parents were abducted in Oyo State.
"At my direction, following the visit of a high-level Federal Government delegation that I sent to the Esiele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, I have approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in collaboration with the Oyo State Government."
Reacting to the President's order, Nasboi via his X handle, questioned the rationale behind the recruitment of a thousand forest guards in Oyo community, yet nothing has been done to other states to reduce the rate of insecurity.
The singer further berated the new directive, stressing that every part of Nigeria is in dire need of security.
He wrote:
"Dear President BOLA AHMED TINUBU
If the government has provided 1000 forest guards in the oyo community.
What about borno? Zamfara? Osun? Kebbi?
Niger delta, NIGERIA?
At this point, the entire country needs security."
