‎ID Cabassa Backs Gaise Baba Amid ‘No Turning Back’ Criticism, Warns Detractors

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

‎Veteran Nigerian music producer and singer Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabassa, has thrown his weight behind gospel artiste Gaise Baba following recent backlash over the remix ‘No Turning Back II’ featuring Lawrence Oyor.

‎Gaise Baba has faced intense criticism from some Christians and pastors since the song’s release. In a heartfelt Instagram post, ID Cabassa praised Gaise as "my covenant brother/friend/kinsman @gaisebaba Ibuoye!", highlighting the singer’s devotion and sacrifices in pursuing a mission to shape "kingdom culture."

‎Addressing critics, Cabassa questioned their motives, urging them to reflect: "Ask yourself what will happen if the internet shuts down today and u don't have any content to react to." He cautioned against attacking a "God movement" and encouraged focusing on preaching Jesus.

‎He wrote:
‎"This is an appreciation post and a stern warning too. Appreciation to my covenant brother/friend/kinsman @gaisebaba Ibuoye!
