Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has expressed his desire to regain full access of his music masters from his record label.

Speaking in an episode of The Long Form podcast, the 30BG boss who is signed to foreign Music company, Sony, explained that his contract with the record label is intact, however, the importance of ownership of one's record cannot be overemphasized.

Sharing his plan, Davido stated that he plans on acquiring his full music masters from Sony Music, adding that he plans on assigning royalties from several of his songs to all his kids.

He said:
“I have a good music contract. But the most important thing is ownership. I plan to get my masters back from Sony soon. With that I can give each of my kid songs they will keep earning royalties from even after I retire."
