Rapper Blaqbonez Opens Up On Reason He Declined Huge Amount To Sign For MAVIN Records
Nigerian rapper and songwriter Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has made a surprising claim about how he rejected an offer to join Don Jazzy's MAVIN records.
In a recent post on the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), the 'Emeka Must Shine" crooner, shared that MAVIN records offered him one million dollars to sign, however he rebuffed it.
Explaining his decision to reject the enticing amount, Blaqbonez stated that he doesn't enjoy posting regularly, declaring that he has passed the level of constantly engaging his fans.
He wrote:
"Need to get this off my chest before chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos i don’t really like posting, I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious."
