"God Took My Husband" – Singer Niniola Apata Mourns Death Of Husband
Nigerian singer and songwriter Niniola Apata, is in grief following the passing of her husband.
The Afro-house star made the tragic news public, in a series of posts on her Instagram page.
Sharing photos of herself and her husband over the years, the elder sister of Teniola Apata stated that God took her husband of 13 years.
The posts read:
"My husband died.
God took him
13 years.
13 fucking years.
God took him.
God took my husband."
Niniola Apata is a widely acclaimed "Queen of Afro-House."
Born on December 15, 1986, she rose to stardom after finishing as the third runner-up on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013. Her signature style blends elements of Afrobeat, house music, and traditional Yoruba influences.
The Grammy-nominated singer gained international recognition after the release of her 2017 hit single 'Maradona' which caught the eyes of international acts, such as Drake and DJ Snake.
