Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Aderigbigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has shared insights into her relationship life, and the reason behind her decision to remain single in highschool.

Speaking in a recent interview with Quenlin Blackwell, the 'Sability' crooner explained that her major reason for remaining single was because she didn't want to be branded as "someone's ex."

She admitted that several guys tried to ask her out, however, she questioned the motive, asserting that it must be "ulterior."

Ayra Starr further stated that she is solely invested on intelligence in relationships, rather than physical attraction.

She said:
"Because I didn’t want to be someone’s ex, I didn’t date in high school,” she remarked. “I knew a lot of guys were trying, and I was like, ‘Why are you trying? That means you must have an ulterior motive."
