Davido Cites Logistical Hitches As Reason For Missing Lagos Show, Apologizes To Public
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has tendered his apology to the public over his absence at a show in Lagos, citing logistical hitches linked to getting aviation fuel.
The 30BG boss was billed to perform at the fifth anniversary of the Secret Place in Ikate Elegushi, alongside Zlatan Ibile, however, he was notably absent, drawing concerns.
Taking to his Instagram story, Davido explained that his absence was not deliberate, but was linked to a struggle to find aviation fuel, citing the broader issue in the world.
He, however, apologized to his fans for his absence despite the anticipation, promising to reschedule a performance at another time.
He wrote:
"The world happened to me yesterday. These wars around the world have really started penetrating. Finding fuel was a problem yesterday to even fly. Everything had to be rescheduled,” he said.
To my fans that pulled up… sorry I missed it. We’re going to run it back again soon."
