Ruger Opens Up On Missing Opportunity To Feature In Funke Akindele's Movie
Popular Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, has opened up on how he missed a crucial opportunity to make his debut in the movie industry.
Speaking in a candid interview with media personality VJ Adams, Ruger recounted how Funke Akindele was an admirer of his music, which led him to send her a dm on Instagram to appreciate her; however, he discovered that she had previously sent him a message, inviting him to feature in one of her movie projects.
The 'Bounce' crooner described the discovery as hurtful, maintaining that he will love to eventually try his hands on acting in the movie industry.
He said:
“I am interested in acting and wouldn’t mind going into the movie industry. I once missed a DM from Funke Akindele for a movie role. I didn’t even see it on time. That one still pains me."
“However, I think acting would be difficult for me because I don’t like shooting. But I would get into character still. If my character is interesting, yeah."
