Qing Madi Calls Out Former Label For Taking Down Music On Spotify

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Nigerian singer Chimamanda Pearl, professionally known as Qing Madi, is facing serious battles with her former record label, following the takedown of her new single 'Pepper Me' from streaming platform, Spotify.

In a series of now-deleted Instagram posts, the youngster pointed out how the same former label that tried to destroy her senior colleague, Cynthia Morgan, are trying to pull the same stunt on her.

She noted how the ex label cannot count their losses, despite taking legal actions against her and losing.

In a followup post, she called out Joy Tongo, urging her to leave her alone, while emphasizing that she would, in no way be silenced like Cynthia Morgan

Sharing another post, she promised to resolve the issue with the song, warning her ex label that she is quiet not because she cares about their image, but is rather focused on her music career.

She wrote:
“Lol, my ex label the same people that tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan are trying to do the same to me.

It’s paining you that I didn’t give up even after suing me for 1 million dollars and losing your case.

I don’t come on the internet to complain ever. Nobody knew this one before.

All I do is keep pushing my music.
Now this babe took down kfmd record from Spotify because of how well it was doing."

"@joytongo
Leave me alone!!!
Cynthia Morgan cried and was silenced.
It won’t happen with me."
“I’ll resolve it, don’t worry.
The song will be up again.
Just because I chose to keep quiet doesn’t mean I care about protecting your image.

I just want to do music, that’s all.
But you want to play dirty.
I’m 19, bro.
Let me be!!!."
