Nollywood actor Tobi Makinde, has quashed the rumour of an ongoing beef between him and box office queen, Funke Akindele.

Reports of the duo being at loggerheads have been surfacing for sometime now, particularly in December 2025, when Funke Akindele failed to attend his wedding.

However, speaking in a viral interview with BBC, Tobi Makinde stated that contrary to social media rumours, he and Akindele are cool, maintaining that their relationship didn't start and wouldn't end on social media.

He further explained that in the course of growth, relationship with an individual may seem lost, due to different pursuits.

"I’m not aware of any fallout between madam Funke and I. Nothing really happened. Our relationship did not start on social media and no be for social media e go end.

"As you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they are lost in transit."
