Actor Pere Egbi Calls Out FilmoneNg Over Unauthorized Upload Of Cinema Movie On Streaming Platform
Nigerian actor and reality star Pere Egbi, has called out film distribution company, FilmoneNg, over the unauthorized upload of his movie on another streaming platform.
In a recent post on the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), the ex-BBNaija star revealed that upon getting home, he discovered his cinema movie 'The Silent Intruder' on another streaming platform without prior permission.
He berated the act, stressing that he spent millions on the project, wondering how the movie began streaming on the platform without his consent, while urging the film's distributor, FilmoneNg to provide a detailed explanation.
He wrote:
"So I get home, trying to relax, put on Tubi, and suddenly I’m staring at my own film — the exact same version that played in cinemas across Nigeria.
I spent millions on this project, so how exactly does my movie end up on Tubi without my knowledge or consent? @FilmOneng,"
"I was never informed of any arrangement with Tubi, and I need a clear explanation immediately.
Who made this deal? Who authorized this release? Because this is unacceptable."
