Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing, has advised her gender to focus on attaining financial independence.

According to her, it is better to be financially buoyant than focusing on one's relationship status.

NBS, as she is fondly called stressed the downside to poverty, noting how it affects one's choices, however, singleness has no bad effect.

"Woman to woman, you should be more afraid of being poor than being unmarried. Singleness doesn’t take away your worth, but poverty can take away your choices."
