"It May Be Kicked Out Of Cinemas Before Ramadan Is Over" — Rotimi Salami Bemoans Poor Sales Of 'Kilanko' Movie
Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami, has expressed his sadness over the low turnout of sales of his newly released cinema movie 'Kilanko.'
The movie star on his Instagram page, shared a video of veteran actress Yetunde Wunmi praying for him. According to him, since the movie's release in cinemas last weekend, it has seen a poor return in sales.
He acknowledged the efforts of those who showed up for the meet-and-greet, and those who bought tickets to see the movie in the cinemas; he, however, stressed that the numbers are not so encouraging.
Hinting at the next step, Salami revealed that the movie may exit the cinema prematurely unless it bounces up, while appealing to the public to go out to watch it.
He wrote:
"I am making this post with a heavy heart.
KILANKO SALES AT THE CINEMAS LAST WEEKEND WEREN’T GOOD. That’s why I couldn’t post throughout yesterday.
Still, I say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who came out at different times for the meet-and-greet, and likewise to everyone who came out to watch, but the numbers are pretty small.
If KILANKO doesn’t make the expected figure by this weekend. It might be kicked out of the cinemas even before Ramadan is over. Please, we need all the support we can get to reach a retainable figure.
KILANKO IS SURELY A BEAUTIFUL MOVIE THAT EVERYONE MUST SEE.
