Nigerian Fuji singer, Rasheed Shanko, has announced the passing of his first son, Jamaldeen Atanda. The singer made the sad announcement public on his Instagram page on Friday, expressing his shock.

Shanko pointed out that there is no parent who would want to mourn a child during their lifetime. Addressing his late son, he urged him to rest well, promising to inform him about it all when they meet again.

He wrote:
"So Sad no parent pray to lose a child in their lifetime but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrys Atanda JNR rest well, my champ. I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again.

Omo Ola sun reeee ooo."
Following the shocking announcement, many celebrities including Gabriel Afolayan, Satoyaga, among others penned their condolences in his comments section.
