Nollywood veteran Dele Odule, has made a jarring revelation about his experience with torrid times at a point in his career, in the movie industry.
The Yoruba actor made this known while speaking in a recent interview with Feelright TV, where he shared his travails, and how he was at a point of despair and hopelessness.
According to him, the challenges of that period pushed him to get the price of his own casket, adding that his colleague, Olaiya Igwe, was present, and was also filled with tears.
Dele Odule stressed that the period was marked by a lack of breakthrough and success, labelling it as a challenging time in his career.
He said:
“I had priced my own casket before, when I was in a state of hopelessness, and complete loss of hope. Olaiya Igwe went there with me. Olaiya started crying like a baby.
“I wasn’t sick, I just believed I can no longer have breakthroughs in the industry. I was fed up. Because all my school mates are doing far better than me and my life was nothing to write home about
Dele Odule is one of Nollywood's foremost stars, as he gained prominence in 1993 over his role in a popular Yoruba movie “Ti Oluwa Nile."
