Daniel Regha Blasts Simi Over Clarification Statement In Response To X Backlash
Celebrity tormentor and critic, Daniel Regha, has expressed his utter displeasure with the clarification issued by Simi over the backlash faced by her previous tweets on X.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that the wife of Adekunle Gold, who recently condemned the act of raping women in response to the allegations made by Tiktoker Mirabel, became a subject of public ridicule as some of her old tweets on X (formerly Twitter) were dug up, and have since caused uproar on the microblogging platform.
Simi, however, issued a clarification statement on X on Sunday, February 22, stating that her tweets were never from a place of perversion, and the deletion of some of those tweets were done by her team due to the sensitiveness of it for her family.
She further emphasized her unwavering stance against rape, stressing that she has been doing that before fame.
Reacting to Simi's statement, Regha slammed Simi for evading accountability and downplaying her seemingly perversive tweets, with her adoration of children. He stated that her old tweets were fully perversive, and nothing can downplay it.
"Simi could've easily own up to her mistakes and taken seriously accountability but instead, try to downplay the whole thing with the I adore children card. Ummm, no. What she did was perversion, there's no two way around it, point blank period."
Commenting on her claims on the reason behind her team deleting her tweet due to its sensitivity to her family, he stressed that it was because it was a "problem and despicable act," hence the sensitiveness for her family.
Blowing hot, he pointed out the ingenuity of her message, describing it as "utterly stupid."
"My team has been deleting some of my tweets because of how sensitive it is for my family".
How dare you (Simi)? If it wasn't a problem and despicable act, it won't be sensitive for her family. Now that she's a mother, let her switch the table and see how very disturbing that act was. What an utterly stup'd statement to put out."
