Big Brother Naija Season 5 (Lockdown) housemate, Rebecca Nengi Hampson, popularly known as Nengi, is celebrating her daughter, Alani, as she clocks 1 today, February 21, 2026.

The actress on her Instagram page shared adorable photos of her mini-mie to commemorate her special day. She described her daughter as one who became her world, revealing that her love for her is beyond words, time, and this lifetime.

Describing her as the one that illuminates her life, Nengi affirmed her love for her, promising to do her best for her, protect her, and make her the happiest and most loved child in the world.

She further committed the life of the celebrant into Jesus' hands, praying for His favour, protection, blessing, and grace to be upon her. She also prayed for wisdom, grace, and strength over her life, declaring her daughter more than enough for her.

She wrote:
"My sweet daughter, Alani... where do I even begin? You didn't just change my world, you became my world. My love for you goes beyond words, beyond time, beyond this lifetime. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the way you smile at me, the way your eyes light up when I walk into the room. You are the light of my life. Your laughter saves me on my hard days, and your presence reminds me of all that truly matters. I promise to always do my best for you, protect you with everything in me and make you the happiest and most loved child in this world. Some days I wonder if I'm doing enough as your mother... but if you could answer, I know you would say I'm the best mom in the world. I wish I could freeze time because you're growing so fast... yet I'm so proud of every new version of you. Thank you God, for trusting me with such a precious gift, the child you chose me to carry, nurture and love. Before she came into this world, you knew her. Lord Jesus, I place her life completely into your hands, Hold her in ways I can't, protect her when I'm not there, guide her when I don't have the answers.
