Actor Nkubi Opens Up On Dwarfism Stigmatization, Daughter's Plight
In a candid moment for Nollywood actor, Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, and his wife, have opened up on their challenges and the pain of stigmatization.
Nkubi, while speaking during a recent episode of the One On One podcast alongside his wife, shared that he was oblivious of his physique until it hindered him from getting minor jobs after secondary school.
“As a child you barely understand your reality but you knew you were different from every regular person.
“When the reality of being a little person first hit me was when I finished secondary school and I couldn’t secure minor jobs like others."
Touching on his marriage, he explained that he and his wife were unbothered about his physique, and prepared emotionally for their daughter's birth.
According to his wife, their emotional preparation still bring them pain sometimes, following the constant public stigmatization of their daughter's physique.
Sharing an experience with a medical professional, Nkubi's wife revealed that the doctor urged her to avoid getting pregnant for her husband, but another man to avoid the trait of dwarfism for their child, however, she refused.
