Nollywood actress, Ariyo Oluwakemisola Apesin, professionally known as Kemity, is celebrating one year of her weight-loss journey.

The protege of actor Itele took to her Instagram page to share the news by dropping her throwback photo and her transformation picture.

Sharing an update on her 1 year weight-loss journey, Kemity explained that the motive was not for impression, but for her health and herself, stating that the journey still continues.

According to her, it is an avenue to motivate people like her to deaden the fear of growth. She cited how due to the comic nature of her roles in movies, she makes use of clothes to increase the size of her tummy, in order to look the character.

She further cheered on to consistency, self-love, and becoming better everyday.

She wrote:
"Today makes it one year on my weight-loss journey. I didn't do this to impress anyone I did it for my health and myself. Journey continues

And if I can do it, you can do it too.
I also want to encourage people like me: don't be afraid of growth.

Sometimes my roles are funny, and I must act funny so I use clothes for my tummy to look big more to performance to sell the character.

It doesn't take away who I am; it's part of my craft I'm proud of my journey, my discipline, and my versatility. Cheers to consistency, self-love, and becoming better every day let go on another journey."
