Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Faith Adewale, has made a shocking revelation about sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The medical doctor, while speaking during a recent episode of The Clarity Zone podcast co-hosted by Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, AKA Nedu Wazobia, claimed that STIs can lead to mental problems.

He explained that the third stage of syphilis, neurosyphilis, can lead to mental issues, noting how several individuals battling mental issues got it from STIs.

He said:
"Do you know STIs can cause mental problems? There is something called neurosyphilis, the third stage of syphilis… There are many things that can lead to mental issues.

A lot of the people having mental health problems, some of them have STIs. Neurosyphilis affects your brain. It affects the way you process things."
